Like from here you see '' Maximum overclock of our sample is 2415 MHz on the memory (21% overclock) and +178 MHz to the GPU's base clock, which increases maximum Boost from 1974 MHz to 2152 MHz (9% overclock).'' I'm sure guys claiming good overclocks maybe doing some high risk bios mods to do so ? Thing is like we say with pascal NVidia pretty much squeezed out all they can to start out with under that gpu boost 3.0, and luck of the draw comes more in play to get much more out of pascal. Looks like they used it for that MSI 1080 card We couldn't get it to work with our GTX 1080, but it seems that EVGA Precision's auto-OC (called “ScanOC”) is now functioning with the latest press drivers and installation '' The core functions of overclocking remain the same we're still using manual stepping and sliders to achieve high, sustained overclocks, but a new auto OC tool (currently only with EVGA Precision) makes limit finding easier. It's gotten more advanced – but not more complex. įor my card I found precision to do a better job, that could just be how it is for this card and my system, may do better for you then may not or be the same ? cant hurt to try and see Should, I used MSI afterburner on a evga card just msi fine tuned theres there way and evga fine tuned theres there way. Is GPU boost 3.0 already part of my card or is it something I need to install? Did you enable voltage control in settings? You can't increase voltage? That's weird because I can. It will allow the gpu to consume a bit more power and might OC a bit better, don't worry about temp limit with the msi gaming x's cooler, you will never come close. You can change the power and temp limit, I would max out those sliders when overclocking. You cant increase the voltage in afterburner for 1060s as far as i'm aware. ![]() ![]() As far as memory I can get 300mhz+ offset, are you sure you cant get the memory clocks to go any farther? Which is about a 150mhz offset in msi afterburner just like you. I have an MSI GAMING X 1060 6GB, which will boost itself to 1974mhz core clock, I can get it to about 2075mhz with a manual overclock before I start artifacting. These pascel cards don't manually OC very far, GPUboost 3.0 will go pretty high on its own.
